"Maybe my husband runs too much but these shoes doesn't last long. He likes them for the time they do last (~6 months) and runs about 15 miles a week."

"I started running seriously about a year ago and have been searching for shoes which didn't result in knee pain, are wide enough for my feet, and aren't excessively heavy. I am on my second pair with about 480 miles on the first pair and about 50 miles on the second pair including runs of about 20 miles in both pair. Everyone has slightly different needs for support, but these are the first shoes I've gotten where I am not constantly battling knee pain and one of very few shoes I have found which are wide enough at the toes even without going so oversized that it is like running in clown shoes. I have also found it harder than it should be to find a decent variety of wide shoes. Many brands only make medium. Of the brands which make 2E and 4E width, if you want that plus support, you still have very few choices - they tend to be heavy and come in the most dull color schemes available (the strereotypical bright, flashy, runner look has grown on me). These are the lightest I've found so far fitting that bill. The 4mm drop is a nice bonus as well, adding in low drop to that mix makes the options even more limited, so it's great that New Balance has done that. I do wish there were a few more color options and a 4E width as I feel like that might actually fit me slightly better, but overall this is still a great shoe and provides a nice option to a segment of runners the rest of the manufacturers seem to ignore or, at best, believe enjoy running in boring looking lead weights."

"After years of searching for what I consider to be the perfect running shoe I have found it. These shoes are cushioned, but not too cushioned. Offer some stability but not too much stability. Wider in the toe box then many. I don't have wide feet but many running shoes are tight in the toe box and these are perfect. I have already purchased three pairs and will keep buying them without trying others!"

"Haven't used NB is quite some time, but decided to give em another try after a decent review by RW. The fit, in my opinion is too tight. I found myself tying the shoes up loose to adjust the tight fit. Cushion is decent, but the tread wears fast and I don't like the flat bottom. Oh well....going back to a different brand. Not sure what the mindset for the FF series is?"

"I bought these for support and protection for a bad Achilles tendon - so far they have worked great."

"used to really like New Balance shoes, these are really nice looking, and pretty comfortable, lot's of cushion, BUT there is a little section of orange at the bottom of the heel that is almost worn away after about a month. these are just my everyday shoes, but wearing way to fast. sad because my New Balance shoes used to last for ever. probably my last pair."

"Been wearing new balance for a long time. The Vongo has been the best shoe for me. Run about 3 times a week, 6 to 8 miles at a time and feel great after my run. Going to get a second pair"

"I'm an avid endurance runner logging 50-55 miles per week consistently. I'm 52yrs old, weigh 165lbs and have diagnosed very flat (over pronation) feet. I run 1/2 & full marathons only. There are many good "stability shoes" on the market, of which, I've tried more than just a few. The "mild stability" of the Vongo as it was described to me by a notable local running specialty store proved to be the perfect match with my custom orthotics. Other stability shoes that had a slightly greater degree of stability in certain areas proved problematic in various was. I also suffer from, Morton's Toe where the 2nd toe next to the big toe is slightly longer. This creates a combination of issues combined with flat feet that makes it very hard to find the right shoe with the right fit. The Vongo has met the challenge, solved all my problems and allowed me to run my PR in the San Diego 1/2 marathon today and for the 1st time since I've been running, I have no instep pain! Great job New Balance!"

"The day after I purchased these, I ran 18 miles in absolute comfort. I fell in love with them before the first mile was complete. I'm going to purchase a second pair shortly, so they're teed up when I'm ready to retire my current pair."

"This shoe is a really good combination of stability and cushioning. My previous shoe is a Vazee Prism. This shoe seems to have more cushioning and stability than my last one. I think I would prefer something with the same stability as the Vazee Prism but the cushioning of this shoe. Given that, this shoe has been great so far. I've run a half marathon in them and they were a dream to run in."

"To date the most comfortable pair of shoes I have purchased. New Balance completely nailed it with the Vongo. Zero regrets from this purchase, I would highly suggest that the investment is an exemplary buy."

"I'd like to preface this review noting I'm a huge fan of New Balance and have been running competitive times in Half Marathons and Triathlons in them for years. The Fresh Foam Vongo is not a great product. It is advertised as a cushioned shoe with mild stability; however, this product much firmer than responsive and over supportive. After running about 20 miles on them, I have retired them, it is almost like a motion control shoe which is way too much for me and I can get away with either mild stability or neutral shoe. I bought this for longer runs where I tend to loss my form a bit but the shoe's attempt to prevent pronation is way too much. Normally I purchase all my shoes through a local running store but preferred the grey colorway so I ordered it online direct from New Balance. In hindsight I wish I had purchased it through my store because they would take the shoes for a full refund regardless of the condition."

"I was looking for a minimalist shoe, I am use to wearing the Hoka Cliftons with a low drop and plenty of cushion. This shoe delivered. The orange and white not only looks good but the shoe feels great. I have only put about 15 miles in these but I can tell already they will be great for any distance run"

"One of the best I've ever run in, incredibly supportive and deceptively light. The foam is buoyant and lively and the colorways are awesome...Already have 2 pair 1 for running, the other for urban hiking around the city"
