"I used to own the New Balance 928, and while they were very high quality, comfortable, and lasted for years, the Roll Bar didn't play well with my feet, so I needed something that had all the 928 comfort and dependability but no rollbar. I tried the other two major models of NB walkers, but neither fit that well (my narrow heel slips out of shoes if I can't tighten them enough). The 577 with the velcro straps fits perfectly, and wearing them at my job, which requires walking on concrete for about 3-4 miles every day, they are a life-saver. Make sure to change out the insoles for something good and squishy if you buy these; there is definitely as much room as advertised in the shoe for such things. I'm going to try the lace-up version next, but I will definitely be buying the 577 from now on!"

"Where the tongue was sewn on has extra material that presses down on my toes which is painful after a long day on my feet."

"This is my third pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair which was white until they were worn out. I bought a second pair in bone color to dress up a little bit. Finally, I bought another white pair. I love the comfort, ease of putting on and taking off, and the price is very fair. They are worth the money and the New Balance website makes it easy to find just the right size I wear. I am a diabetic, so the fit of my shoes is very important. I would recommend this shoe to any other diabetic."

"I got these shoes as they were recommended by my orthopedic. I got wide first, but returned them for 2e. Still a little narrow, but decided to keep them. The left shoe is pretty good, but for some reason the tongue on the right shoe isn't centered and digs into my foot. I had a stroke and need a brace on my left leg, but I walk a little better without the brace with these shoes."

"Please keep this style forever! This shoe style has been a dependable high quality shoe for many years. It is the only shoe that lasts over three months with AFO's. Thank you for always offering consistent style and quality."

"Previous purchased hook and loop ran large and it was no longer offered, so decided on this version and purchased 1/2 size smaller and 1 size narrower, big mistake. This shoe runs smaller in length and width. If you normally wear a size 11 4E, you better order a 1/2 size larger and if possible one size wider. It also rides high on your instep and heal causing discomfort. Hopefully it will break-in soon and be more comfortable."
