"I have worn the 1005 and its predecessors for years. Great shoe. As noted by one of the other reviewers, the 1006 is NOT THE SAME SHOE. I paid $100+ bucks for a pair and played two hard sets of singles in them. My arches were in pain for two days. Will have to find another brand (ugh)."

"I bought these to play Pickleball. I consider them to be a game changer. I did have to use the very top lacing eyelets after stepping out of one once when I was playing the first time with them. After I re-laced the top I had the best day I can remember highlighted by five straight Aces in a row in one game. I hope they last longer than my 806's they are replacing. It is great to be able to find 4X wide in athletic shoes. Thank You"

"I had the 1005 shoe and it was perfect 10 2E. But wore it out so bought 1006. Not the same shoe at all. Have worn it 4-5 times trying to break it in but can't get through one set without having to switch back to my worn out 1005. You know when something ain't broke why fix it. Bring back the 1005."

"i have been searching a good fit for wide foot, tried nike, adidas but I was never satisfied with those. then I tried NB 1006 4E...it is really great. i also liked 996v2 but no 4e width available. 1006 is more comfortable ,having more cushion"

"I wore this fantastic tennis shoe right out of the box and onto the court without having to break them in. Love the comfort and most of all the toe room. Great grip on hard courts. Have worn 6 times so far. Am playing 4 or 5 days per week. Anticipate good results."

"Have always purchased NB 10.5 4E court shoes and have found them to fit very well. I ordered the 1006 for the first time and it was very tight at the ball of my foot and too uncomfortable to wear. Sent it back and was told by NB customer service that the 1006 runs narrower than usual. If you have a wide foot or high instep don't order this shoe."

"I have always been happy with NB 806 for both clay and hard surface. The webiste info convinced me to get the 1006. I wear a 4E. Shoes are very tight in the front and very loose in the heel. To my mind, given past experience with NB sizing, this narrow-wide thing is them not my foot."

"I needed a new pair of tennis sneakers and after comparing the info online, I chose the 1006. I have used several times now and am very pleased with the quality of the tennis sneaker. They feel light on my feet so I can move well on the court. They also are very supportive which helps to reduce risk of injury and minimize soreness of the feet. As an added bonus they look good too! If they can last me at least 6 months at the rate I am using them then they are well worth the cost and will buy again when they wear out."
