"The right shoe is on a stretcher right now as it cramps my foot very badly. I am hoping that the stretching works. Other than that the shoes are great for flat feet and make me very comfortable. This is my third pair of 813's and my first problem!"

"I have terrible feet, a very high arch, wide foot and tendonitis. These shoes were very comfortable until the foot lining wore out. I could not find an insert that would work. I have to wear a shoe lift inside my right shoe. Once the insert wore out (long before the shoe wore out), the shoe became very uncomfortable. I could not find an appropriate replacement that would hide the discomfort of the lift outline. I have always been happy with NB shoes except when I go to the NB store, they never have my size."

"The New Balance 813's are great. I had an ankle replacement and these sneakers/shoes have helped me a lot. They are the best comfortable sneakers/shoes I have ever purchased. I would definitely recommend these to any one that walks a lot."

"Over the years I have bought over 20 pairs of the various 800 series from NB. They saw me through years of teaching--great shoes. But now NB has downgraded the shoes for the 813 model--less cushioning, smaller tongue, sole with tiny, dirt-catching crevices, etc. A lower price is no consolation, and now I must sadly abandon the 800's and look elsewhere for shoes. Really disappointed in the New Balance decision to lessen the quality of what had been a great shoe series."

"It appears as though one must truly read the reviews with any of the NEW styles from New Balance. I had ordered the 847v2 and found them to run smaller than the true size -- didn't read the reviews (my fault) until after the fact and found several others mentioned this problem. I returned the 847v2 and ordered my old standbys -- the NB813, which do run true to size. Sometimes a cute style isn't worth the discomfort, which is very frustrating. Why can't the cute new styles be made true to size?"

"The tongue of the shoe is not leather, but a soft mesh, This makes the fit somewhat poor in the area of the laces. It's not terrible, but I won't buy this style again."

"The left shoe back fell down and won't pop backinto place. Very uncomfortable. Figured couldn't be returned as I've worn them."

"I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit with worn out ankles that swell daily due to arthritis, and wide flat feet. New balance shoes and specifically this style of shoe are both life savers. When you are on your feet all day, good shoes are a must. Without New Balance, I'm not sure what I would do."

"I was told this was a replacement for the 811. It does not compare in any way. No cushioning at all no comfort whatsoever. The shoe is also so much lower around ankle so no support there. I returned them."

"This product seems to be wider than usual in some spots of that it actually rumples up in the tongue area when it is laced. I have not had that happen with NB shoes before. I would definitely not order this product again."

"After wearing them a few times I donated them because I could not wear them. There was no heel support"

"I'm so glad you can order New Balance sneakers on-line since it is not easy to find size 7 ladies extra wide in stores. They fit great and are really sharp looking."

"Easy on your feet, even for 12-14 hour days, I forget. Have them on"

"Love my 813 New Balance. Need narrow width and they are extremely hard to find except going to the actual manufacture. Shoes are very comfortable. New Balance was recommended to me by my doctor when I had foot surgery. Have tried a couple other good brands but end up giving them away and buying more New Balance. Have been wearing them for about 15 years (or more)."

"Previous NB shoes I have purchased were outstanding. This style was disappointing."

"A disappointment. The shoes are much lighter, the tongue is not leather and is barely wide enough to fit under the laces, I would return and get 812s again if I could find them in my size. New Balance is the ONLY running/walking/fitness shoes I have ever purchased because the fit always was so perfect. ,. I do not wear any other athletic shoes but New Balance"

"The laces are way to long - almost 2 ft. left after lacing up. Returned the walking shoes I had worn for many years."

"I have worn NB for many years. The evening of the first day I wore my newest pair, the pain in my knees was much less severe than it had been the previous day."
