Supportive, comfortable shoe for long runs

    - New Jersey

"An great successor of the 880V5 that provides a firm ride with just the right amount cushioning (without being too soft). The 880V6 runs slightly thighter than the 880V5 but is still very comfortable at the same size, especially after wearing it for a few weeks. Overall, a great shoe for neutral runners who like to run long and often."

This is not my New Balance

"I have been running in New Balance for over 20 years. I realize that there are changes in each model every year, and this has never been a problem up until now. I was on my second pair of 880v5s and knew that it was time for a new pair. I get the new model, and WOW what a difference, and I do NOT mean that in a good way. These are the most uncomfortable running shoes that I have ever worn. The footbed is nothing like my 880v5s. They are very stiff with little give, and there appears to be some very nonpliable extra padding under the ball of my feet. They are, in fact so uncomfortable that I had to stop mid run, because my feet hurt so badly, and my toes were going to sleep. I have tried to wear them, but they are taking every bit of enjoyment out of my runs. I am not sure what I will do at this point, but I definitely need a better shoe. I am so disappointed, not to mention out the money for shoes that I cannot wear. I would not recommend anyone buy these shoes if you are happy with the 880v5, I only wish I could find another pair in my size. I would even settle for the ugly colors."

    I want to love these!!

    - Central Florida

"I only wear NB and love them, these gave me a blister above my ankle, I think it was a defect in the top of the shoe, otherwise they are perfect!"

    liking it!

    - Tulare,CA.

"Bought these for my husband. His regular size 11 was too small. Sent them back and also ordered 11.5. shipping was great and fast. And now these are great for him. Thanx for such great on-line service."

    Excellent shoe!

    - Tulare,CA.

"I haven't worn a New Balance shoe for many years but decided to try them again. So glad I did! The shoes are perfect on me. Rightsize, comfortable fit and a great looking shoe. I will purchase more products in the future."

"Not quite my fit, and more for warm weather use also."

    - Clayton, NY

"After 4 months of running 5 days a week (approximately 20-25 miles), the outside of the mesh has begun to tear and the sneakers are very loose. I find myself readjusting the laces 2-3 times before I get on the treadmill. Not impressed and rather disappointed this sneaker."

    Love, love, love these 880's

    - Chicago, IL

"I don't buy NB shoes, but I took a chance and love these. I wear orthotics for my high arches and neutral running shoes generally. These are much more cushioned in the ball of my feet than my usual Brooks Glycerin. I like the extra padding on the tongue. It means no more skip lacing. The padded collar first well and I will never go back to Brooks."

    Game Changer

    - Madison, WI

"I had struggled for two years with foot pain before I finally had surgery. After muscle and tendon repair I needed to get some good running shoes for daily wear that would be supportive and deal with my foot issues. I have one pair and plan on another pair or two in different colors."

    Cheap shoelaces

    - Vancouver

"Overall New Balance has been my go to Running shoe. Years ago they had a great lace on my old 860. Since then New Balance has gone to a flat lower priced shoelace not befitting a $150.00 running shoe."

    Great shoes!

    - Columbus OH

"Love them! I just switched from the WR 19's to these and they are my new favorite pair!"

    Great shoe

    - AR

"I love my shoes. I normally wear a 7.5, but purchased this shoe at a size 8. I tried on both sizes in the store and the 8 was a better fit, especially in the toe box area. Very comfortable. I recommend this shoe."

    Guava color

    - CT

"Color: Guava is not the pink/peach with light gray Colors it shows in pic. It's definitely electric pink orange with dark almost black colors! But great shoe just not the color I wanted."

    - Orlando

"I was a little hesitant about ordering the 880v6 since I really liked the v5 version. But I couldn't be happier. The v6 version is even more comfortable and the cushioning is excellent. I'm training for a marathon and these are my go to shoes for any run over 10 miles. I highly recommend the 880v6"

    Great Shoes!

    - Akron Ohio

"I am a cross country runner and am going into half marathon training this winter/ spring! Love the colors and the style. I am running with the Wave Rider 19 right now until cross ends. However, I decided that I don't like the style of the WR 20's so I needed a new shoe and these have the heel to toe drop that I prefer!"

    Love these Shoes

    - Austin, TX

"These shoes are so awesome I have them in four colors! They make my Jazzercise workout fly by without thinking about my feet!"

    My Favorite Running shoes

    - Converse, Texas

"These are my favorite running shoes and have made me a loyal NB customer. I started with 880v4 and have had 880v5 and 880v6. The 5 and 6 versions are amazing. They provide amazing stability and they feel great. I run in them every day as well as circuit Training and even trail running."

    Better for short runs

    - New York City

"I wore these not more than a handful of times, I usually run on the ball of my foot, as any proper runner should. They lack that support."

New Balance's 880v6 is the most supportive, well cushioned running shoe ever!

    - Chittenden, VT, USA

"Every other day, I run 5 miles on undulated, stony country roads. The support and comfort provided by the 880v6 is extraordinary! It's a beautiful-looking shoe too! After just two weeks of ownership, I ordered another pair in dark blue. Well done New Balance team!"

    Best fit since the 1080

    - Atlanta, GA

"Second to the (very) old 1080 style, these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn for either running or walking. They run short & wide. Wear 7 1/2-8 in reg shoes, usually 8 1/2 D for NB & these fit great in 9 B. My feet like shoes with narrow heels, wide & deep toe boxes, little to no arch support, and dislike that plastic webbing that seems to be on the mid/toe box sides of so many running shoes now (rubs, uncomfortable). Honestly, I can't tell what kind of arch support these have but since my feet & knees don't hurt, I couldn't care less:-)"
