    Disappointed

    - Borden, ON

"Bought these to replace my minimus shoes from 18ish months ago. I loved those shoes. In fact they are still functioning but are wearing out. I bought them in August, and less than 45 days later (of indoor use, for training 3-5 times/wk), the VIBRAM sole begins detaching from the left shoe. I liked the way they looked, maybe a touch larger than I had hoped but wow. $130 for a month and a half of training shoes. The quality just isn't there. Luckily NB authorized my return and gave me my money back. I am back into my old minimus waiting for a new set of trainers that I like/trust."

    Fit's odd

"I have wore both the Minimus v3 and v4 in previous years in a size 12, they fit amazingly. Unfortunately, with this newest version the tongue wraps around the inside of a shoe much more and my right root now rubs uncomfortably against it. Returned and will be looking for a different style, unfortunately."

    Try them in store first

    - Surrey, BC

"After reading some online reviews, I decided to purchase these from a New Balance store in our area. The fit is a bit strange... I usually wear an 11 (NB Vazee and NB 1400v4) but in these shoes I ended up fitting a size 10. I have a slightly narrower foot so the width was not an issue. The shoes are comfortable and should work for me (crossfit). If you have the same issue as others with wider feet, there is a wide option available. I'm sure you can find the right fit if you go in person. I wouldn't try to purchase these ones online...but so far it looks like they'll be a great shoe."

    Horribly large

    - Canada

"I've owned a pair of Minimus V2s for ages. Fantastic shoes - light, low profile, low drop, burrito tongue, & asymmetrical laces. I ordered these shoes in my actual size (7.5) and a half-size down (7) as per the website instructions. Well, they're both disappointingly massive. The size intervals do appear accurate, but I have no idea how New Balance can be so off on their sizing. I would suggest ordering a half-size and full-size down from your normal shoe (assuming they make it) and then return whichever pair you don't want.. Other points of consideration - these have a noticable taper, but not crazy. You may find you'll max out the width before you find your proper length. The materials are good, but I do have some reservations about the durability of foam around the collar of the shoe. I'd rather see a padded mesh like the V2s. The Vibram outsold looks as good as ever."
