"I needed a shoe that provided great cushioning and could accept an orthotic. This shoe fit the bill. It's kept me walking after a prolonged foot injury. I've always liked New Balance and have used them since they first brought out their 440's back in the 80's. A great shoe."

"I have always worn New Balance runners with the SL2 platform. These are not the same. Tight in the fore foot especially at the ball of the foot. Laces were loose to get the most room possible from the shoe but still tight. I have never needed to buy wider than "D" from New balance. Disappointed in the fit. I have always boasted to my friends that New Balance never changes the fit and I can always order online without trying them on and not worry about returning the shoe. I wear a 7.0 mens so I can never find a shoe locally . I will have to test the return policy. I like the look, the cushioning and feel of the materials but the fit is not there."

"This model of shoe is remarkable for cushioning. It has a very generous toe box in 2E and shoe size fits as expected. The mesh type material the shoe is made from allows for a great deal of ventilation helping feet breathe and stay cool. I must say that having tried many competitors models, some more expensive, the 840 V3 is the most comfort I have ever found for my wide feet. Highly recommended for running and long walks."
