For some runners, it’s not distance or endurance that they’re working towards, it’s simply a desire to get their feet moving in the right direction: forward. If that describes you, the New Balance 1540v2 men’s motion control running shoe might be just what you need. Designed with stability features for overpronation, the 1540v2 helps guide your foot forward so you can stay focused on your run.
Two layers of performance foam in the midsole offer superior support and soft rebound mile after mile. Meanwhile, a Roller posting system is included in the heel to help reduce rear-foot movement when you plant your heel.

I like the 1540's because of their large toebox. (I think they are made on the S2 last - but I can't find that info anymore). I loved the original 1540 model, this v2 model seems a bit harder in the heel - there's a real clack clack sound as your heels strike. I have the grey and black colours - seems silly to me but the black ones seem harder.
Good support though, good quality materials and the material bonding is holding up well. I've almost worn out the read more grey ones - that's why I'm on the site looking for a replacement. I guess it will be another pair of 1540v2's for me. read less
